Gather Around the Table
GATHER AROUND THE TABLE
Luke 22:14-16 (NKJV)
As we gather together today for the “Lord’s Supper” remember these things:
1. It’s a time of “rejoicing”
“… With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.”
(Luke 22:15)
- “Redemption” (1 Peter 1:18-19)
- “Reconciliation” (Rom. 5:11)
- “Redirection” (2 Cor. 5:17)
2. It’s a time of “reflecting”
“But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.”
(1 Cor. 11:28)
3. It’s a time of “responding”
“For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.”
(1 Cor. 11:31)
- Is there an “attitude” that needs to be brought before the Lord?
- Is there an “action” that we have done that is wrong and needs to be brought before the Lord?
- Is there an “admission” to someone else that needs to take place?
- Is there an “anxiety” that’s eating your lunch that needs to be brought before the Lord?
