The Word

“The Word”

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
John 8:31-32

WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO WITH GOD’S WORD?

 1ST. “HIDE” THE WORD

“Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.”
Psalm 119:11

              A) Read it

“Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine…
1 Timothy 4:13

              B) Meditate on it

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall mediate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
Joshua 1:8

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law, he meditates day and night.”
Psalm 1:2

               C) Accept it

“But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit; some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”
Mark 4:20

2ND. “USE” THE WORD

3RD. “STAND” ON THE WORD

“And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
Hebrews 6:11-12

“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise”
Hebrews 10:35-56

By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured as seeing Him who is invisible.”
Hebrews 11:27
